Whether it’s a Wiccan or a Hindu, every religion believes that all of us have lived in the past as different people and that past life has made us what we are today.
What you are now and who you believed you are now is an influence of your past life including your health, your mental well being, and your social interactions are all influenced by your past life. This is why it is important to know yourself, who you are and what you are in the past, to be able to make yourself better and stronger in this current life.
Past Life Regression - How do we come to know if we really had a past life? It’s not possible in a conscious state but dreams and memories can give us a hint. Most schools of thought believe that every one has a past life though considering the rapidly increasing population there may be some new souls around as well.There can be other signs that can alert you to the existence to a past life:
* Are you strongly attracted to a specific culture or place that does not hold any place of importance in your present life? For instance you may be crazy about Mesopotamian art but not really understand why. Delve further into the aspects that interest you about that art and the time period you are interested in. If you can zero on a narrow range, we may have some clue.
* Abnormally strong emotions about some incident in history – if, for instance, you tear up when you look at Washington Crossing the Delaware but not at any other revolutionary art, you may have been involved in that incident in a past life.
* You might be experiencing different allergies or problems that were not previously present or detected or you might have some psychological or physical problems that you cannot explain which might be linked to your past life.
This is by no means an exhaustive list, and just the fact that you have one of these indicators does not mean you are remembering a past life. Look for patterns in your life, ranges of things that attract you for no good reason, and you may start to home in on similarities that will help you piece together an idea of what your past life or lives may have been.
Self hypnosis or hypnosis by a past life regression therapist may also yield great results in past life regression. These regression therapists hypnotize you to help you delve into your deep subconscious memories.
If you are planning to use self hypnosis then try to use something that can deeply relax you. First learn to relax deeply and then only attempt regression.
In terms of safety there is nothing significant to worry about. What should happen is that you experience a past life vividly as if you were actually back in time. Although it may not be this intense you should still be able to experience ‘shadows’ and ‘feelings’ of a past life.
Good memories will provoke good feelings. Conversely a bad past life memory will result in the same feelings as if you have had a bad dream. You will just wake up feeling uneasy, like you have had a nightmare. But please bear in mind that unpleasant memories, if indeed they are any, are an important part of the regression experience.
It is the remembering of this past life, which is important; and once you have remembered, you can start to move on. It is only the subconscious suppression of these memories which causes problems. By understanding and accepting what happened in the past you can start to experience this present life with a totally different outlook.
Good karma has a great part in the life of people. And because you had a good life in the past, it is believed that you will also have good karma in your current life. But it is your responsibility to keep your soul as good as you can possibly be in order for your good karma to follow you in your current life. But once you change yourself from good to bad, your karma will also turn into bad karma until you realized it and go back to being good.
However these days people don’t agree with this kind of a theory since they believe that no one needs to suffer because of a past life. Each life that we live is an opportunity to turn a new leaf and do good deeds. What we need to understand is that we are not bad people and we can always forgive ourselves for our bad deeds and become good.
